In Hindu Tantra, there are 15 Nitya Devis (Eternal Goddesses) that represent
the lunar phases. While generally associated with Lalita Tripura Sundari
(waxing moon), they are connected to Maa Kali, representing the waning
moon and ruling the 15 lunar days (Tithis) of the Krishna Paksha
